Week 32nd / 32ème semaine ♥ May 16th- 18th ♥ 2nd semester 15th week

Wednesday May 18th: 

We did Unit 14 lesson 2 in the Méthode. We did p. 55 in the Cahier. They practiced their presentations for the party the 25th,  and some little skits.

(We won't be doing the Harry Potter skit they wanted to do because the dialogue was getting too complicated, two "actors" will be missing the 25th, and they didn't all want to do it. )

Homework: p. 56 in the Cahier.

[Please forgive the lack of update for last Wednesday May 11th, I wrote it, and for some reason it didn't save to the blog. Today my laptop died, and I am on the 1998 desktop. Lots of fun for the end of semester. NOT!]

Today we finished/corrected everything from Unit 13.

They discussed a skit they want to do for the party the 25th, and we practiced presentations.

Pre-registration for Fall classes has started. All students received a registration sheet Wednesday.

Wednesday April 4, 2011:


We discussed a mini-skit for May 25th, the last day of class, when there will be a party for students and parents. The students present enthusiastically decided to do Harry Potter in French!


We finished Unit 13, and made cards.


Homework for Monday: Finish Unit 13 in the cahier, as well as the dictionary words from Unit 13, from the back of the cahier.


Monday April 2, 2011:

We worked on the cahier for Unit 13 in class, p. 50 & 51.

Cahier: Exercices grammaticaux complémentaires p. 73-76, through Unité 6.

Homework:  

1) Finish drawing from last week, if not finished, and the above pages, if not finished.   

2) Study vocabulary.

Week 29th / 29ème semaine ♥ April 27th ♥ 2nd semester 12th week

 Wednesday, April 27th:

• La Méthode Unit 13, p. 58, 59, 60
• Cahier: exercises: p. 52, vocab list p. 71
• Sentence practice: Òu es-tu? Je suis dans la chambre, etc. (Where are you? I am in the bedrom, etc.), Est-ce que tu aimes la poule, etc. (Do you like the chicken, etc.)
• Drawing of rooms of a house, labled in French 

Homework for Monday:

• Finish cahier p. 52.

Week 28th / 28ème semaine ♥ April 11th - 13th ♥ 2nd semester 11th week

No class next week! 

It's Soquel Elementary Spring Break: No class April 18th & 21st, nor Mon. April 25th.

Wednesday, April 13th:

• Map: Je suis allé(e) a/en/au + ville/pays (I have gone to  + city/country)
• Le Pendu (Hangman game)
• L' Arbre familiale (Family Tree)
• Dessin du terrain de jeu difficile/dangereux (Drawing of a difficult/dangerous playground) - this was an idea they had after going to the farthest playground and saying it wasn't challenging enough!

Monday April 11th:

• Library time.
• Correction & catching up on homework.
• Started Unit 13, p. 58, Leçon 1A. Òu es-tu? Je suis en classe... (Where are you? I'm in class...) We will go over this again.
• CD-Rom Unit 12
• Worksheet: face descriptions

Homework: No new homework for Wednesday April 13th, nor from Unit 13, but all of Unit 12 should be finished in the cahier, including the dictionary words from Unit 12, p. 61-71 in the back of the cahier. 
I will check the dico words on April 27th. They should also review vocab learned until now.

Week 27th / 27ème semaine ♥ April 4th - 6th ♥ 2nd semester 10th week

Wednesday March 6th: 

• Correction HW in the cahier.
  
• Méthode p. 54-55 Unit 12, lesson 3 & 4.
• Game called Jeu de l'oie (Goose game) p. 56-57.
• Dictation describing faces for drawing a face on the whiteboard, they took turns.

Homework for next week:

Cahier: p. 48 & 49.

Monday March 4th:

• Méthode p. 52-52 Unit 12 lessons 1 & 2.
• Unit 12 vocab review: body parts & movement.
• Library, browsing books.

Homework:

Cahier p. 46 & 47, finish dictionary for Unit 11.
