Today we did an ID form / fiche d’identité: the children filled out information about themselves and drew their self-portrait.
In the text book we did 2 pages about animals, Unit 2 lessons 3 & 4. We also did the listening for Unit 2 through CD1 14-16, and finished the CD Rom for Unit 2: the children match the dialogue to the pictures.
At the end of the class one of the little Francophone students had a birthday cake outside, and a few of my students were able to participate!
New vocab:
Une perruche a parrot
Un poisson rouge a goldfish
Un hamster
Une tortue a turtle
Un chat a cat
Un chien a dog
Aujourd’hui today
Je n’ai pas de… I have no…/I don’t have…
Homework/ Devoir: pages 8 & 9 in their workbook.
REMINDER: There is no class Monday Oct. 11th as the school is closed for Columbus Day.
Dear parents,
One of our students will be absent from class for a month. I will be giving more detailed notes with references to the book pages, textbook CD and CD Rom so his parents can help him follow along.
Today's class:
Review of Unit 1 with the textbook's interactive CD Rom.
Listening exercises for Unit 2 through CD1-13.
Starting Unit 2, through lesson 2, asking and answering their age, and whether they have brothers and sisters.
Interviewing each other, and filling in pages 6 & 7 of the workbook/cahier d’activités.
Color-matching game with the younger class.
Homework: through p. 7, if not already done. The more advanced students may write a little story with vocabulary they know. :)
See you all Wednesday! À mercredi!
